The company Tæknivörur ehf. was founded in 1992. From the beginning, the focus has been on the import, distribution, and sale of various types of user equipment for telecommunications services: telephones, mobile phones, modems, routers, and more from many of the world’s largest manufacturers, such as Ericsson, Nokia, Sony, Thomson, Technicolor, LG, and Samsung. Rapid technological development and significant fluctuations in the global market in this sector have required shifts in focus as old giants decline and new ones emerge. Over the past 10 years, our collaboration with Samsung has steadily increased, and today Tæknivörur operates the only Authorized Service Centre in Iceland for Samsung Mobile in Iceland, as well as being the distributor for Samsung in Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland.

Therefore, we kindly remind our customers that batteries and accumulators are hazardous waste and must not be disposed of with regular waste. Let’s all do our part by sorting and returning these items, thereby promoting the responsible and sustainable use of resources.
You can return batteries from phones and other smart devices to us at Víkurhvarf 4, Kópavogur. Additionally, batteries and accumulators can be returned to municipal recycling centers or hazardous waste collection sites at no cost to you.
